Activity Supervisor

- Supervise Intramural participants and spectators
- Enforce Intramural and BYU policies
- Promote fair play and good sportsmanship
- Be the first responder to game related accidents
- Keep score and manage the game clock
- Coordinate game equipment
- Provide written description of incidents:
- Activity reports
- Accident reports
- Sportsmanship reports
- Umpire softball & kickball games during spring and summer terms
- Attend staff training meetings on Tuesdays from 5-6 PM
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work well with people
- Experience with one or more team sports
- Good communication skills
- Calm disposition
- Commitment to work for both fall & winter semesters
- CPR/AED & Basic First Aid certification is required before the first day of employment (Intramural Office can help schedule trainings)
Most Common Hiring Periods: Prior to the beginning of fall semester (prior to other semesters as needed)
Starting Pay: $14.50 per hour
Hours: 14-18 hours per week (4 shifts). Intramural events are typically scheduled Tuesday through Friday 6:00 PM to 10:15 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM to 1:15 PM.

- Attain knowledge of sport rules and proper application
- Know and maintain correct court/field positioning
- Manage the game flow
- Promote fair play and good sportsmanship
- Develop effective game management techniques
- Attend staff training meetings on Thursdays from 11:00 - 11:50 AM
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work well with people under pressure
- Basic knowledge of team sport rules
- Good communication skills
- Previous officiating experience preferred, but not required
